The 47th World Congress of Vine and Wine & OIV General Assembly, as well as the sixth China (Ningxia) International Wine Culture and Tourism Expo, opened in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on Oct 12.
Representatives from 51 International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) member countries, 32 ambassadors to China, and more than 800 guests from around the world gathered to explore the customs, culture, integration, and openness of the global wine industry.
The 47th World Congress of Vine and Wine & OIV General Assembly, jointly hosted by the OIV and Ningxia, marks the first time in over a hundred years that the World Congress of Vine and Wine has come to Asia, and it is also the highest standard international academic event in vine and wine that China has hosted for the first time.
