The China-Central Asia Cooperation Center for Desertification Prevention and Control was inaugurated at the Ningxia Forestry and Grassland Administration on the morning of July 30. It will serve an important part of the long-term and systematic cooperation between China and Central Asian countries.
After its establishment, the center will strengthen training cooperation with Central Asian countries in the field of desertification prevention and control, implement more green development projects in Central Asia, help Central Asian countries turn their ecological disadvantages into advantages for sustainable development, and jointly achieve a greener and more prosperous future, bringing the concept of a China-Central Asia community with a shared future closer to reality.
During the second China-Central Asia Summit in June this year, an agreement was made to establish the China-Central Asia Cooperation Center for Desertification Prevention and Control within the framework of China-Central Asia cooperation, and it was announced that the cooperation center would be located in Ningxia.
Ningxia will enhance practical cooperation with Central Asian nations in technological research and development, achievement commercialization, training exchanges, and project implementation. The region will strive to explore more replicable and scalable desertification control solutions, sharing Ningxia's proven experience in combating desertification.
