The 39th Ningxia Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition was held in Tongxin county, Wuzhong city, Ningxia Hui autonomous region from April 18 to 20. This competition introduced groundbreaking changes to foster holistic student development. For the first time, the competition implemented an information-based evaluation system and added a comprehensive quality assessments, shifting focus from project comparisons to evaluating participants' overall capabilities.

The competition comprised three major categories: youth science and technology innovation achievements, science and technology educator innovation achievements, and youth robotics. The selection of exceptional organizing units and workers was based on youth science and technology practical activities, along with the activities of the Youth Science Film Festival.

Over 8,000 teachers and students from more than 200 primary and middle schools across the region in 22 cities and counties submitted 1,253 scientific and technological works. Following rigorous selection, 955 works qualified for the final evaluation and will participate in a day-long closed defense and public display event. Additionally, 218 teams comprising over 500 teachers and students participated in eight categories of robot competition projects.
