On July 26, Yinchuan, Ningxia, hosted an industry supply-demand matching event, bringing together representatives from various sectors to foster collaboration and drive economic growth.
The event employed a hybrid format, with representatives from 106 companies, 10 financial institutions, five third-party service providers, and three key industry associations attending in person, while an online live stream attracted over 3,000 participants.
Jiang Minhan, vice mayor of Yinchuan, emphasized that the event was designed to benefit enterprises, align with industrial trends, and support development goals. The focus was on releasing the first portion of the leading enterprises and products directory, along with lists for industrial project financing needs, equipment upgrade requirements, and third-party service providers.
Jiang highlighted that these resources aim to integrate various elements, promote multi-dimensional and multi-channel information sharing, and assist enterprises in securing orders, expanding markets, and fostering development.
The directory and lists feature 97 projects from 62 industrial enterprises with a total investment of 8.7 billion yuan ($1.20 billion), 114 high-quality products in sub-sectors such as instruments, electrical equipment, and transformers needing equipment upgrades, and 57 projects from 45 industrial enterprises across 17 sub-sectors, with a total investment of 13.8 billion yuan and financing needs of 9.1 billion yuan.
The lists also include 48 service providers in six categories including digital transformation, 21 leading enterprises in new materials and new energy, 34 in equipment manufacturing, and 20 in new food, along with their leading products.
Representatives from key industries within and outside Ningxia, including new materials and new energy, new food, and equipment manufacturing, gathered to participate. The collaboration between government, financial institutions, and enterprises created a platform for Yinchuan's key industries to expand their markets.
During the event, company representatives showcased their products and technologies and engaged in in-depth discussions on market trends and cooperation opportunities.
To date, the event has resulted in 33 orders worth 1.06 billion yuan. In the new materials sector, 24 demand-side entities have negotiated four cooperation orders worth 720 million yuan. In the equipment manufacturing sector, 15 demand-side entities have tentatively negotiated 12 orders worth 150 million yuan.
In the new food sector, 20 suppliers and four demand-side entities, including cross-border e-commerce companies, have negotiated orders worth 160 million yuan.
"I believe this meeting is a win-win, not only enhancing mutual understanding but also laying a solid foundation for future cooperation," said Wang Chuan, manager of the R&D Center at Ningxia Kaichen Electric Group.
