Recently, the Yinchuan wine-producing area at the east foothills of Helan Mountain in Ningxia Hui autonomous region was the topic of a wine lecture at the University of Western Australia (UWA), marking the first time that the Yinchuan wine lectures ventured overseas.

Gathered for the event were student representatives from the UWA, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University and Murdoch University.

During the event, Niu Xiaotong, promotional ambassador of the Yinchuan wine-producing area, introduced the historical culture, geographical features, and development of the east foothills of Helan Mountain, as well as the basic knowledge about wine, grape cultivation, brewing techniques, wine tasting, and food pairing.

In 2023, with support from the Yinchuan’s government, the Yinchuan Wine Industry Development Service Center, in conjunction with the Beijing International Wine & Spirit Exchange, forged a strategic partnership with the ANW. Subsequently, 43 varieties of wine from 14 wineries in Yinchuan started being exported to Australia.

"We will continue to promote a series of activities in the Australian market, encouraging wineries to jointly establish overseas warehouses, utilize shipping for overseas expansion, and focus on promoting and publicizing activities in the Australian market," said the responsible person from Yinchuan Wine Industry Development Service Center.
