Ma Zongbao, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and vice chairman of the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, brought a proposal related to the vocational education system to this year's two sessions.
The scale of vocational education in the western China has been gradually expanded and the quality of education has been continuously improved. A professional system of vocational education compatible with the development of regional industries has also been established. However, the problems of an incomplete vocational education system and lack of education in emerging subjects are still a major concern.

Ma proposed to further support the construction of undergraduate vocational education in the western region, introduce major national educational projects and advantageous industries to settle in the area, and establish an exchange and cooperation mechanism of vocational education between eastern and western China, in a bid to promote the high-quality development of vocational education.
