With the acceleration of the construction of a new energy base and the large-scale grid connection of new energy, the pressure on the region’s power absorptive capability has increased overwhelmingly. As an indispensable part of promoting the large-scale and high-quality development of new energy, new energy storage can realize the real-time balance of power supply and demand, safe and stable operation, and provide an impetus for the construction of a new type of integrated power system and the green and low-carbon transformation of energy.
Dang proposed to build a national new energy storage center in Northwest China in a bid to fully utilize local wind and light resources, give priority to clean and green power storage, and provide new energy storage facilities for new energy generation. At the same time, related polices can be launched to introduce talents, technologies and investment in the storage center in Northwest China.
Moreover, moving the headquarters of relevant energy enterprises to the northwest, seizing the strategic opportunity of the country's in-depth implementation of western development in the new era and the Belt and Road Initiative, encouraging the headquarters of central enterprises, State-owned enterprises and large private enterprises in the new energy field to move to the northwest region with a solid foundation in industrial development and strong advantages in resources and energy will inject new impetus into the high-quality development of the regional economy and society, and help the nation achieve the goal of peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality.
