Hao Linhai, the winner of the Merit Award given by the International Vine and Wine Organization (OIV), was the vice chairman of the Ningxia government and deputy secretary of the CPC Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Committee. During his tenure, he vigorously promoted the development of Ningxia's wine industry and of the region. Over the years, his watercolor paintings based on Ningxia customs have been widely praised.
His watercolor paintings depict the natural scenery and customs of Ningxia, its countryside scenery with northwest characteristics, the morning glow and the sunset. The paintings show the tranquility of Ningxia through Hao Linhai's eyes. Having lived in this area for nearly 50 years, each work reflects Hao's love for this land.
