On Aug 8, two Ningxia leaders, Liang Yanshun, secretary of the CPC Ningxia Regional Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of Ningxia Regional People's Congress, and Zhang Yupu, deputy secretary of the CPC Ningxia Regional Committee and chairman of Ningxia Hui autonomous region, had the meeting with political and business delegations from South Korea.
The Korean delegations were led by Kim Han Kyu, the consul general for the Republic of Korea in Xi'an, and Ge Jae-soo, the chairman of Taekwang Chemical Fiber (Ningxia) Co., Ltd.
They witnessed the signing ceremony for the project between Taekwang Industrial Co., Ltd and Management Committee of Ningdong Energy Chemical Industrial Base.

Liang pointed out that South Korea and China are close partners of longstanding. He said the China (Ningxia) and South Korea Cooperation Exchanges Week this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea. Ningxia has a beautiful scenery, abundant resources, unique economic development, and is an open and inclusive place. This event will provide both sides an opportunity to further enhance each other’s understanding, deepen cooperation and promote in-depth interaction and exchanges.

Kim Han Kyu said there has been an increasingly number of South Korean enterprises ready to settle in Ningxia Hui autonomous region.
This event will help to combine the advantages of both countries, and build projects that will jointly create broader cooperation prospects, Kim added.
량옌순(梁言順) 닝샤회족자치구(寧夏回族自治區, 이하 닝샤) 당위서기(黨委書記) 겸 닝샤 인민대표대회(人民代表大會) 상무위원회(常務委員會) 주임, 장위푸(張雨浦) 닝샤 당위 부서기 겸 닝샤 주석은 8월 8일 닝샤 인촨(銀川)에서 ‘중국(닝샤)·한국 우호교류’ 주간 행사에 참석하여, 김한규 주시안(西安) 한국총영사와 갈재수 태관화섬(닝샤)유한공사 회장이 인솔한 한국 정재계 대표단을 접견했고, 닝둥(寧東)에너지화공기지 관리위원회와 한국 태광산업의 차별화된 스판덱스 협력 프로젝트 체결식에 참석했다.
량옌순은 닝샤 당위 정부를 대표하여 김한규 일행의 방문에 대해 환영의 뜻을 표했다. 이어 “중한 양국은 불가분한 관계를 가진 인접국이고 중한 수교 30주년을 맞아 닝샤에서 ‘중국·한국 우호교류’ 주간 행사를 개최하는 것은 중요한 의미가 있다” 라고 하였으며, “닝샤는 아름다운 경치와 독특한 기후 그리고 풍부한 자원을 지녔고, 특색적인 경제 발전을 이루어 사회 전반이 조화롭고 안정적이며 개방적이면서도 포용적인 지역이다”라고 말했다. 또 “닝샤는 올해 전염병 방역이 눈에 띄는 성과를 거두었고 2분기와 상반기 경제 성장률이 모두 전국 1위를 차지했다” 외에도 “닝샤는 시진핑(習近平) 국가주석의 중요 지시를 성실히 이행하고, 한국과 함께 이번 행사를 계기로 상호이해와 우호증진 및 양측 간의 우호 협력을 공고히 하겠다”라고 밝혔다. 더불어 “한국 기업가들이 닝샤에 투자하는 것을 환영하며 닝샤의 많은 곳을 탐방하면서 즐거운 추억을 만들고 닝샤의 이야기를 세계에 널리 알리기를 바란다”라고 덧붙였다.
김한규는 “닝샤는 명실상부한 ‘새상강남’[塞上江南: 비옥한 토양, 좋은 기후를 가진 중국 창장(長江)강 남쪽 지역과 비슷한 곳, 닝샤를 가리킴]’이며 이곳을 올 때마다 항상 도시의 새로운 모습을 접하게 된다. 게다가 닝샤에서 투자하는 한국기업도 갈수록 많아지고 있는 추세이다. 이번 행사를 계기로 닝샤의 신소재, 신에너지 등 분야의 장점을 한국기업의 우수한 기술과 결합함으로써 양측의 협력 프로젝트를 한국기업이 닝샤에서 발전을 이룬 모범적 사례로 만들어 더 아름다운 미래를 함께 개척할 수 있기를 바란다”라고 말했다.
이어서 레이둥성(雷東生) 닝샤 당 위원회 상무위원 겸 비서장과 김한규 주시안 한국총영사가 당일에 열리는 와인 시음회에 참석해 식사했고 왕다오시(王道席) 닝샤회족자치구 부주석도 시음회에 참석했다.
