So far, the planting area of goji berries in Zhongning county is 180,000 mu (12,000 hectares) and the comprehensive output value of the industry has reached 12 billion yuan ($1.79 billion). Its regional brand value has reached 19.032 billion yuan.

In recent years, Zhongning has promoted pest prevention and control technology, and built four systems of industrial standards, green prevention and control, quality inspection and testing, and product traceability. The model of "leading enterprises plus cooperatives plus farmers" ensures product quality.

In order to expand the market, Zhongning took the lead in building Ningxia's first logistics warehousing center integrating warehousing, sorting and distribution. It has joined hands with China Post, SF Express, CAAC, JD.com and other logistics giants for direct sales.
Statistics show that 2,000 tons of fresh fruits of goji berries were sold in 2021, with sales revenue reaching 320 million yuan. Overseas trademarks have been successfully registered in the United Arab Emirates, Madrid, Brazil, Macao and other countries and regions. The products are exported to more than 40 countries and regions in Europe, the United States and Southeast Asia. Zhongning products have become the leader in China's goji berry industry.
