In 2021, key leading enterprises at and above the autonomous region level have helped more than 500 Ningxia residents with disabilities obtain stable employment with an annual per capita income of 26,000 yuan ($4,075).
With the policy support of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Disabled Persons' Federation, Ningxia organized practical technical training for people with disabilities, enabling them to master one or two planting and breeding techniques.
In 2021, Ningxia organized 101 training activities for 14,000 farmers, including more than 500 disabled people.
Ningxia has been installing hygienic toilets in rural areas, which also makes the lives of physically handicapped people easier.
In 2021, Ningxia renovated the toilets of 39,000 rural households, about 62.2 percent of the total, including more than 1,000 households with disabled family members.
