Founded in 1935, General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University is a 3A-grade comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, examination and training.
Covering more than 248.22 mu (16.54 hectares) with a building area of 265,485 square meters, the hospital has set up three special branches in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, tumors, and stomatology. The hospital has eight national key clinical specialties: intensive care, cardiovascular medicine, neurosurgery, cardiac macrovascular surgery, respiratory medicine, general surgery, emergency and oncology.
The hospital has 3,684 patient beds, with 53 clinical departments and 12 medical technology departments. In 2020, 2,607,900 patients received medical treatment at the hospital, with 142,200 discharged and 53,100 inpatients undergoing surgery.
